What This Document Shows

The Critical Difference — Item 177

This updated spreadsheet differs from the earlier evidence inventory because it includes an additional:

Item 177 is described as approximately:

97 live “TW 69” rifle rounds on a disintegrating belt

associated with the trunk of a Pontiac Grand Am.

The related McElroy follow-up report states that on October 1, 2020, Investigator Stokes and Investigator McElroy went to Precision Towing and Recovery in New Hope, Tennessee, searched and processed the Pontiac Grand Am, located a plastic bag containing numerous live rifle rounds in the trunk, collected the ammunition and submitted it to CPD Property/Evidence as Item 177.

Why the Updated Version Matters

A separate version of the evidence spreadsheet exists without the “Updated 10-2-20” title.

That earlier version concludes its evidence sequence at:

The updated version contains the later:

Item 177

Both spreadsheets should be preserved as separate source documents because they establish two different versions of the same evidence inventory.

The appropriate factual description is:

The original inventory ends at Item 176. The later “Updated 10-2-20” inventory contains Item 177, documenting ammunition collected during the October 1, 2020 Pontiac Grand Am search.

The existence of the two versions creates a document-version issue that should be compared against the individual officer reports and property records.
